Since our recent expansion into South Africa, we thought it’s only best we share some of the top dining spots in Cape Town. The Cape Town food scene is extremely diverse, with traditional cuisines along with influences from all around the globe.

 

1.Willoughby & Co

Since opening in 1996 Willoughby & Co has offered its guests a full Japanese culinary experience. Located in the Victoria & Albert mall, the menu ranges from the freshest sushi to tempura dishes, oyster shooters to soups and salads. Add to this a comprehensive selection of seafood, carnivorous delights and deli products.The service is quick and friendly. Not one to miss with super tasty dishes.

Tip: The beef fillet is delicious

 

2.Fish on the Rocks 

For decades this bustling Fish and Chips shop has served a loyal following. The time-worn establishment is situated on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean with a stunning backdrop of Chapmans Peak and passing fishing boats. Enjoy legendary fish and chips amongst the nearby sea life. This really is some of the best fish and chips.

Tip: Park/sit by the sea and take in the breath-taking view.

 

3.Kimchi 

A BBQ Restaurant located in Sea Point , which serves unbelievable Korean fried chicken and best wok fried rice. The staff are super friendly and the food is truly authentic Asian food. Korean culture is all about sharing the perfect restaurant to go with friends or families.

Tip: You must try the veg wok fried rice!

 

4.Mexicola Locale

Our restaurant is a vibrant celebration of authentic Modern Mexican food, expertly prepared on a wood-fired grill by our talented team of flavour experts. From our soft-shell tacos, nachos and selection of bochas (bowls), every dish is a flavourful journey that stays true to Mexico's culinary heritage. The whole restaurant has a chic vibe. What adds to ambience is that it’s nestled away in scenic Hout Bay, the seaside suburb of Cape Town.

Tip: Get the fire grilled chicken in mole sauce, it’s divine.

 

5.La Colombe

As you ascend the winding road on Silvermist estate, time seems to slow down. At each bend, as the city tilts away beneath you, you rise to new heights of quiet anticipation.

While on the pricey side, the dishes are innovative, the atmosphere is great and the service is top notch. The epitome of fine dining in Cape Town.

La Bodega Ramen 

It would be bold to say this is some of the best ramen we’ve ever tasted, but it’s so flavoursome. It takes you to Asia without even stepping foot on a plane. Serving Asian and Japanese inspired dishes which have an emphasis on hand and homemade food. The restaurant has a super cool vibe and it’s located above a chocolate café and gin bar.
Tip: order everything on the menu

 

Bao Down

This restaurant serves a collective of creative bao dishes, including korean chicken, pork belly and sweet potato. The selection is varied, meaning there is something for everyone. Including sweet baos.  All these are super tasty dishes. A must visit restaurant in Cape Town.
Tip: You have to save room for dessert!

The brunch here is 10/10, enjoy your food while sitting underneath the glass ceiling, in the quirky modern setting.  The quick service is an added bonus along with the super friendly and attentive staff. Why limit brunch to lunch time, this brunch is served all day!
