Discover the five reasons why people choose serviced living

Modern living means bigger demands. Whether you are working or travelling you expect more, and serviced living is an example of how you can get it, and on your own terms. But when there are so many different travel accommodation options available, why do people choose serviced living?

(1)    Your own space

Serviced living offers you room to be yourself. Co-living is a great way to live for people with a community mind-set, but many people prefer to have their own space and their own self-contained unit. So whether you are living on your own on a temporary work placement and have family over for the odd weekend, or are with the family on an extended staycation or city break, having a furnished space you can call your own, and with no shared facilities, is just the start of the luxuries of serviced living.

(2)    A home away from home

Even the most expensive and exclusive hotel room has to work hard to feel like home, and to offer the kind of relaxation and flexible space you might need. A serviced apartment is where you can enjoy your home comforts and some quality time in a space that doesn’t feel impersonal. With ample living space, work space and cooking space this is a home that demands an extended stay.

(3)    Exclusive facilities

A serviced living apartment is not just about what is within your four walls, there are plenty of outside extras also. Many serviced apartment blocks have an on-site gym, an ‘essentials’ shop, parking facilities, offer a complimentary breakfast and laundry service and have housekeeping and 24 hour reception and security services. These add value to your stay and are all facilities you can use when it suits you.

(4)    Close to the action

Whether your stay is for work or pleasure, or a bit of both, you will want to choose your location carefully. Most serviced apartments are hand-picked locations close to town or city centres or key leisure destinations. This can benefit you if you want to be close to work or transport routes or it can suit you for city centre attractions, shops and restaurants. And it can certainly suit you if you are new to the area and don’t know your way around.

(5)    Full control

Serviced living is all about making the user journey as comfortable as possible. Work spaces and rest spaces are certainly well catered for, and kitchen spaces are another luxury you won’t find in a hotel. If you are entertaining for the night, or have the family visiting, you can cook up a three-course feast, or if you have had a busy day and want to relax with a quick feed in front of the football, or are just re-heating last night’s takeaway, then that’s fine too.
