1.Sheffield Botanical Gardens
Starting off we have the Botanical Gardens which are situated off Ecclesall Road. It is home to 5,000 species of plants within 19 acres of land, and these species are from all around the world. Its most notable feature is a Grade II listed glass pavilion which was restored and reopened in 2003. They offer free entry for visitors and during the summer you’ll find outdoor concerts and performances. Guided tours are also available for those who would like to learn more about the history. 2.Kelham Island Museum
This industrial museum is alongside the River Don, on Alma Street. It encapsulates the city’s industrial heritage in a fun and interactive way. The museum also has access to extra spaces which can be used/hired for evening receptions, social gatherings or if you're traveling for business and need to hold a meeting or conference, it can be used for that reason. Sheffield is home to a number of great Football teams including Sheffield United based at Bramall Lane, Sheffield Wednesday based at Hillsborough and Sheffield FC, the world's first football team (although technically now this isn’t classed as in Sheffield anymore, shhh.) Millennium Gallery is an art gallery in the center of Sheffield, it connects with the Winter Garden. (8) It's a free attraction for visitors and in 2011 was voted the 15th most visited free attraction in the country by VisitEngland. It has two permanent exhibitions and two temporary exhibitions which are sent in by partners including The Tate, The Victoria and Albert and The National Portrait Gallery, again like Kelham Island Museum it has functional space to accommodate wedding and conference space, perfect if you need some meeting space on your business trip.

6.Utilita Arena Sheffield
Located just near Meadowhall, the arena can hold up to 13,600 people. With a constant stream of acts showcasing their talent, there is something to suit everyone. If music is what you’re into, they have Lewis Capaldi and Sam Smith in the new year. They have ice hockey, with their home team Sheffield Steelers and if you fancy a laugh Peter Kay is performing in 2023 and 2024, that's if you can secure some tickets. It’s a great activity and easily accessible from the city centre.

7.Eat at some amazing restaurants
Sheffield has a fantastic range of restaurants, with a whole scope of cuisines. We picked a selection which we think you’d enjoy, all in central locations and a short walk from all of our apartments. First we have Browns, they serve brasserie dishes in a fantastic location which overlooks the peace gardens. Next is Smoke Barbecue, a Texas BBQ inspired smokehouse which uses the classic smokers, then finished on the hickory wood-fired barbeque which takes pride of place in the kitchen. If a hanging kebab is more your style, you need to try out The Botanist, the restaurant encapsulates a secret garden theme, with botanical cocktails, craft beers and ales, also offering live music every night! And finally we have Ego, a Mediterranean restaurant which is located within the Winter Gardens, located near The Lyceum. This is the perfect place for a pre-theatre dinner. All these restaurants are within walking distance from a number of our apartments, making it easy for you to pop out for dinner, if you don’t fancy cooking.

8.Sheffield Winter Garden
The Winter Garden is the largest urban greenhouse in Europe, and admission is free! This has facilitated a stunning green world within the city centre. It is the largest temperate greenhouse to be built in the UK during the last 100 years, it’s 70M long and 22M high, it can fit 5,000 domestic greenhouses within it! It houses 2,500 plants from all around the world. It also houses a number of retail units, so you can stop for a coffee or light refreshments, and then also take full advantage of the facilities in the Millenium Gallery as it’s connected. All in a handy central location.

9.Graves Park
Graves Park is a large parkland area in the south of Sheffield. It has a number of facilities including a training fairway, two playing greens and a few hard tennis courts. So if you’re looking to let off some steam or even just stretch your legs, this is the perfect place to do it. A green escape from city life, also perfect if you’ve brought your furry-friend, plenty of room for them to tire themselves out.
