About Wigan


Wigan is a large town in England, on the River Douglas. Conveniently located between two major cities of Manchester and Liverpool, Wigan is a great place to live with plenty of good sport, lively night life and a bustling shopping centre.

 

At the heart of the motorway network, Wigan has easy access to the M6, M58 and M61, perfect for your daily commute to work or getaways at the weekends. The West Coast rail line runs right through Wigan which makes London and other great UK cities easily accessible. It’s also well located for travelling to and from both Manchester Airport and Liverpool John Lennon Airport, if you need to travel abroad.

 

If you’re a sports fan Wigan has plenty on offer, eg Wigan Warriors Rugby League Club, Wigan Athletic Football Club and Wigan Cricket Club, plus lots of wonderful leisure facilities to keep you fit and healthy.
