About Exeter

Exeter is a city in Devon in South West England. Exeter is situated on the River Exe, 36 miles north-east of Plymouth and 65 miles south-west of Bristol. Exeter city centre is a centre for business and tourism in Devon and Cornwall. In 2021, Exeter joined the UK’s Key Cities network.

Exeter is a perfect co-living destination as not only is the city home to many large companies offering a huge variety of work choices, but also home to huge tourist attractions on your doorstep so you can easily get out and explore many hidden gems. Our favourites include the Underground Passages, free Red Coat Guided Tours, magnificent cathedral and the imposing Roman wall and beautiful Quayside.


Exeter offers a fantastic social scene with a huge choice of restaurants, bars and nightclubs. The city centre is home to many well-known chains as well as some authentic independents and has been voted as one of the top places to eat out in the UK but Which Good Food Guide. There are cafes and teashops in charming historic buildings, restaurants with great views and independent eateries serving top-quality Devon produce. Head to Princesshay or Queen St Dining for plenty of choice!


Exeter is easily walkable through public spaces and traffic-free shopping areas. Princesshay is the key area for shopping but at the heart of the city is the Cathedral Quarter with a beautiful 800 year old Cathedral aligned with classic independent shops set around the spacious green. The Guildhall and Harlequins undercover shopping centres are home to familiar high street stores and some smaller independents. Gandy Street is a must for trendy clothes and gift shops. It’s just off the high street which is also home to the famous Cavern Club and Exeter Phoenix. 


The public transport network in Exeter is superb with bus and train routes connecting the city to the rest of England. Getting around Exeter is easy by bike, bus or train with a fast and frequent park and ride ample city centre parking. Exeter is five miles from the city of Exeter and is situated adjacent to the A30, close to junction 29 of the M5 motorway. Daily international flights operate to and from Exeter.
